Congratulations—DsHidMini is now installed.

Next steps

The default XInput mode usually works without changing any settings. Connect an official Sony DualShock 3 or SIXAXIS controller by USB and test it with the installation guide. Two wired PS1/PS2 USB adapters are also supported.

For Bluetooth, install BthPS3 and connect the controller by USB once to pair it. Do not pair it through Windows Bluetooth discovery.

To verify or configure the controller, open DsHidMini Control App from the Start Menu (Nefarius Software Solutions → DsHidMini). The installer has included ControlApp and that shortcut since v3.9.0. It requires the .NET Desktop Runtime 10 (x64) — any 10.0.x release is accepted. You do not need to keep it open for the driver to work. The first launch on v3.16.0 or newer runs a one-time Let's connect your controller setup; USB-only PCs can skip the Bluetooth path. See the ControlApp overview. To try a newer build than the one setup installed, or if your installer is older than v3.9.0, download and run ControlApp. For other modes, see HID Device Modes explained.
